I 1000% relate! Being the willing individual in your bloodline to break toxic cycles that were passed down generationally is extremely hard and isolating; yet, imperative and beneficial for ourselves and future generations to come. I heard Pastor Jerry Flowers say, “Stop expecting those who passed down the [toxic] generational cycle to support you while you’re breaking it.” That statement encourages me every time I feel lonely, unsupported, or met with pushback in this difficult, but rewarding process. Thank you for sharing your Godly wisdom and testimony! 🙏🏽✝️✨
This means so much, Tierra 🫶🏽Thank you for sharing your heart! That quote from Pastor Jerry Flowers is a WORD(I think I actually watched when he spoke on that topic. I love him!).
& you are not alone in this — keep going, the freedom on the other side is worth every hard moment.
I see you! I was the one to stand and name the abuse, the shame and dysfunction. While I couldn’t break every generational curse I broke to big ones and what I see now in my children (ages 40 & 43) are strong, healthier adults following God and breaking more curses.
It’s not easy. It’s hard work, but God is faithful to continue the healing you and Him have started.
Loveeee this! To see the fruit of your sacrifice in your children, now grown, walking with God and continuing the work! Thank you for reminding me that what we’re planting now, we may not always see bloom right away, but it grows. God is faithful indeed. You are proof of that. 🙏🏽✨
This was so timely and relatable for me. Those who don’t understand this journey are just not there but it really requires willingness not perfection. You articulated this so well.
This is so good! I so appreciate your honesty in sharing this! It takes courage to be the one to stop the madness (spiritually). I applaud you for doing the work and starting a new chapter. So sorry for the loss of your dad. Losing someone we love is so hard! Thank you for sharing this! 😊
Thank you, Laura 🤍 It does take courage — & some days more than others. I appreciate you acknowledging that because it’s not always easy to show up & do the work anyway. Also, thank you for your kind words about my dad. Grief is something else, but God continues to carry me through it. I’m grateful this resonated with you! 🙏🏽✨
This was sooo beautifully and powerfully written sis! I am not a mum yet but really resonated with your words on healing and breaking generational curses sis. It is one or the hardest but most powerful and rewarding experiences we can be on with the grace and strength of the Lord. God bless you and your family sis! You've got this boo! 🙏💕✨🫂😘
Thank you so much sis, this truly warmed my heart! 🥹 & you don’t have to be a mother for this to matter — the healing you do NOW is the greatest gift you can give your future family. You’re already ahead by just being willing. God bless you too love! 💕🙏🏽✨
